ok is it just me or is the f-100 a big piece of crap? i cant barely stand a chance against mig 17's, and my wigmen all get chewed up. whats with this plane? you cant even do a gentle turn without bleeding off like all your speed, and if you go below 300kts, your screwed

I don't know, I've been able to score some excellent kills against even MiG 21s. You just have to turn slowly, and keep up your speed. Try performing shallow high yo's, and never performing a break turn.

 

Against a MiG-17, you will rarely be able to get onto it's tail unless you manage to bleed all the speed from your enemy. Expect rather to be running in it some high closure rate snap-shots.

Actually, when I first found out about this sim I was in it just for a great F-4E. When I started actually flying this sim I found that I really like the F-100D. I guess just learning how to fly some of the pigs is the challenge for me, and now that I'm learning it I'm digging it. :)

 

It might not be the best as far as agility, but she sure is solid.
