I downloaded the desert pack to add many desert ground objects like tanks and SAM in desert tone. However I've noticed that the objects like tanks are only drawn at really close range hence becoming visible at a ridiculously close distance, hence I have extreme difficulty aiming and hitting them because they only visible when I'm really close to them which leave me no time to adjust my plane for aiming at them.

Is there a way to increase the distance which these objects are drawn?

I've noticed that the stock WoV objects are drawn much further than the objects that this mod introduced.

thanks

Open the Groundobjects main INI file (like T-72.INI, or something like that).

There you have these lines:

[LOD001]

Filename= *NAME OF MODEL*

Distance=500 <---means it is visible from a distance of 500 meters (?)

Change that to a distance you prefer, like 10000 meters.

If you have several LOD entrys, only the last one needs to be edited like that.

The first ones then increase the Level of Detail, as closer you get.

Thanks AmokFloo already done that but haven't got the time to test whether it works.
