Hello All!

Well once again T.K.'s brilliant work has changed the Sabre.

For background please read this first.

http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry145102

After the April 2008 all Slat Wing Sabres are once again affected.

To correct this; apply these values:

[LeftSlat]

SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE

CLiftdc=-0.045

DeltaStallAlpha=6.00

AreaRatio=1.02

DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_AERODYNAMIC_LOAD

Setting[1].Angle=30.0

Setting[1].DeployValue=92.59

Setting[1].RetractValue=92.6

MaxDeflection=30.0

MinDeflection=0.0

ControlRate=0.3

AnimationID=10

ModelNodeName=LeftSlat

[RightSlat]

SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE

CLiftdc=-0.045

DeltaStallAlpha=6.00

AreaRatio=1.02

DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_AERODYNAMIC_LOAD

Setting[1].Angle=30.0

Setting[1].DeployValue=92.59

Setting[1].RetractValue=92.6

MaxDeflection=30.0

MinDeflection=0.0

ControlRate=0.3

AnimationID=9

ModelNodeName=RightSlat

This will restore somewhat normal behaviour to the flight dynamics in flying the Slatt Wing Sabres.

The retract values are somewhat off but there is nothing I can do to change this.

This Tweek is only for users flying F-86 Sabres equiped with Slatted Wings, in W.O.I., patched with the April 2008 update.

Models include:

F-86A-5

F-86E-01

F-86E-06

F-86E-10

F-86F-01

F-86F-10

F-86F-30

Is this sarcasm? If so seems a bit harsh.

No Sarcasm ment at all!!!!!!

But at the same time; how many hours have u spent lately updating flight models?

This and many many other reasons is exactly why there is no patch to bring Strike Fighters, Wings Over Vietnam, and Wings Over Europe; up to Wings Over Israel standards.

At least I'm keeping my the models I have developed up to date for the community. :crazy:

Why is it you assume there won't be patches for the previous games?

I don't.

But don't think for a moment that the improvements in WOI will not affect every or many works developed in and for the other series.

Aircraft

Flight Models

Terrains

Effect Packages

Weapons Packages- Already Shown

ect,ect.

As I said to T.K.; Re-invent the Wheel!!!! LOL!!!!

I challenge all modders to make sure their works are compatable.

There are a number I have tested already. Some Good , Some Bad.

I don't see how TK is re-inventing the wheel. I doubt you'll find many others that believe so either.

He is either adding new features to the game engine, or improving features that already existed. I think it's great that TK's engine is as moddable as it is, but I don't believe it's his responsibility to make sure everyone's work behaves exactly the same following changes he deemed necessary to make. Anyone else think so?

Of course we know that his changes will more than likely effect previous work in several areas. Most of us except this as the price for getting improvements into a sim that is so moddable. That's also why most of us will update our work as required, just as we have done in the past, not because of a challenge from you.

Aggie all I seek is uniformity in the series.

I'm a no-body.

So don't make me out a bad guy!

This entire subject has not been a slam at T.K..

But to update the folks that downloaded the Sabre/MiG packages; to enjoy the best possible experience in flying these to noble birds!
