Fielder 0 Posted May 3, 2008 I'm ready to pull my hair out. I'm supposed to alter an soundlist.ini file in order to install new aircraft in First Eagles. There is no such file in win explorer, so its got to be packed in a .dat file. Fine, so what program do I need in order to unpack a .dat file? Thanks. Supernova22 0 Posted May 3, 2008 Its in a .cat file in the flight folder either flightadata or missiondata use this to extract it. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...mp;showfile=
Fielder 0 Posted May 3, 2008 Ok, thanks to you I was able to find the unpack utility and with it instantly find soundlist.ini. The download librarian's index cardfile are a bit of a tangle.
BUFF 8 Posted May 4, 2008 The download librarian's index cardfile are a bit of a tangle. How hard is it to go Downloads > Thirdwire Series (SF/WOV/WOE/WWI) > Utilities/Editors & then search through them to find the SFP1/WOE/WOV CAT File Extract Utility? seems perfectly logical to me? Fielder 0 Posted May 5, 2008 Right, except "SFP1/WOE/WOV" does not apply to FE nor to WW1.
BUFF 8 Posted May 6, 2008 they all use the same game engine though, it's simply that the utility was uploaded way before FE existed hence it's label.
