MiG-23S How about It?

Some times ago i maked MiG-23S mod, early variant of MiG-23M, with sapfire-21 radar

This is only ini-files work. I just change radar, engines, fuel capacity, other data.

 

LOD is MiG-23M, it's not good, because MiG-23S has differents:

 

- Wing without "canine" on front side

 

- VertTail moved on 860mm to nose

 

I dont know, what i must do with him...

- NEVER USE R-23/R-24 missile on this plane, saphire-21 support R-3R (AA-2B) only!!!

 

NOTE: R-23,R-24 compatible only with sapfire-23 radar (MiG-23);

R-40,R-40D,R-40D-1 only with MiG-25

R-33 only with MiG-31, but R-40TD-1 support also

R-27 only with Su-27, MiG-29

R-3R only with sapfire-21 radar MiG-21

R-98 only with Su-15 and Yak-28P

 

- Mig 23S support ONLY Kh-66 CGR (Others MiG-23 - Kh-23 and Kh-23M ONLY)

Not Saphire-21 but Saphire-22. This radar was used first with MiG-21S and was used in MiG-23S.

NOT! It's name RP-22SM 'Sapfir-21M' be cause all soviet radars has two names 'open' an 'closed'

I E open - Oryol and closed - RP - 11

If I know russian produced only 50 MiG-23S. There were problems with aerodynamic and many crasches...
