F-111A loadout help needed

I am having trouble with the loadouts of the F-111A.

 

As per the knowledge base, I have changed the attachment type to USAF, but still the weapons do not show up.

 

I can select them from the loadout screen, but they are not automatically loaded.

 

The dates are ok, I set a mission date of 1972. Everything else looks ok.

 

This is really baffling me.

Silly question...did you edit your Loadout.ini to make sure they are automatically loaded?

I changed the attatchment type in the data.ini from NATO etc to USAF, as stated in the knowledge base, but did not touch the loadout.ini.

 

Nothing is loading, including the QRC-160-1.

The loadout.ini is the file that determines what automatically gets loaded on your aircraft (and AI aircraft for that matter). Take a look at some other aircraft loadout.ini files to get an idea on how it works.

I'm using the loadout.ini that came in the package, so I think it is something in the data.ini.

Well, try editing the loadout.ini first. If you say you can select the particular loadout you want, and the loadout that you selected shows up when you go fly, then the data.ini is probably okay.

The bombs load now, but the ECM pods still won't load, so I'll have to experiment a bit more.

You said you looked in the KB...did you look in the "Weapons Fixes Thread"?? I DO seem to recall doing up the Varks, with complete loadout inis and data ini tweeks. Plus a few other fixes for them.

Yes, I saw that.

 

It only says change the weapons stations from NATO to USAF in the data.ini, for the F-111A.

Yes! I got it.

 

The length of the QRC-160-1 is 2.96, but the LengthLimit on the ECM stations was 2.85. So if anybody else has the same problem with the ECM pods on the F-111A here is the fix that makes them load on the aicraft.
