Showing Up ON Hyperlobby And Gamespy At The Same Time?

Recommended Posts

OKay, someone help me out.. I just had a few folks join my Hyperlobby game from Gamespy.. This idea infurates me and I would like to fix the problem but how? :x If I open a host outside of Gamespy or Hyperlobby, my game is invisible to the outside world.. However, if I open a Hyperlobby game up, my game is now visible and joinable from Gamespy.. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks, Qfly

NOT TO MAKE YOU SOUND DUMB,BUT ARE YOU SURE YOU CLOSED DOWN YOU GS PRIOR TO OPENING THE HL

(GS=GAMESPY HL=HYPERLOBBY)

THE ONLY TIME I HAD THAT HAPPEN WAS WHEN I HADENT CLOSED ONE DOWN. IF THAAT DOSENT WORK TRY A COMPLET DELETION AND REINSTALL. :D

Thanks for the help fellas.. I removed gamespy using the XP uninstaller then ran a search for gs in my registry and deleted them. You would not believe how many entrys I had in there! SF appears to be set up to run on Gamespy since it asked if you would like to install it when installing the game.. I'll try and figure out what ports gamespy uses and simply block them..

Tnx, Qfly

Heya Q... as far as Gamespy ports, I believe the following are used by it:

GameSpy Internet: 23000,28900 and 27900

Gamespy LAN: 22000

I got this info from the BF1942 install guide. Give it a try :)
