sparkomatic Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 So, despite 5 years of TK products I just made a total rookie move and man does it sting in the junk...previously, I downloaded the Sep 2k8 patch for WOI and being lazy I just sent it straight to my WOI directory. I am quite happy to say that it worked perfectly. Then this morning, being an idiot, I downloaded the Sep 2k8 patch for WOE, pointed it at my beloved, so modified that it is not the same game any more WOE install and hit "destroy"...which is what it just did. Then, being a subscriber to this fine forum I was like, "hmm let me check the boards ex post facto"...damn...damn...damn. 3rd wire products are like that crazy girlfriend that you cant get enough of but set fire to your sofa... Canadair Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 End of 2006, I deleted the just re-patched SP4 install. I wanted to move another folder in the desktop bin, misclicked and when it said "are you sure you want to Strike Fighters SP4 folder in the bin " I clicked YES. Then it said "the folder is TOO big for the wastebin, are you sure you want to eliminate it completely?" Obvious answer stupid Windows YES A few minutes ago I was surfing and getting knowledgebale about deleted software recovery methods... Quote
