Recon pod Orpheus-Dutch version-

This pod was made in Netherland under request of Koninklijke Nederlandese Luchtmacht(KLu),because of the unsatisfactory performances of the RF-104G.

It entered in service in 1974 with the F-104G of the 306° Squadron based at Volkel Air Base.

Mille grazie Steve. Good looking piece of work it is !!

And it was used extensively by the 306 Sq F16's too in later years. I think even the BAF used a couple of them on their Vipers after retiring their recce Mirage V's...

And thanks a lot for the 306 Starfighter skin too ,

Aju,

About the specifications, if "www.ailes-militaires-belges.be" is correct, the weight is right on the spot but the dimensions are a bit off.

It would be from:

Mass=350.000000

Diameter=0.320000

Length=2.449000

to:

Mass=350.000000

Diameter=0.470000

Length=3.750000

PS: Yeah, I got it!
