New to Wings Over Europe

Im new to the sim WOE and i was wondering what do i need after i install my new game to get started? Also after looking at some of the forums i see some aircraft that i don't have in my game like the F-14 or the Mig-21, how do i get them especially the Mig-21. I want to fly some russian planes like the su-25 or the Mig-29.

 

I saw on the forums on how to add more weapons to the game by using the weapondata.ini, but i can't find where this file is.

There are many aircraft available here at Combat Ace in the Downloads section. There is not a SU-25 available as of yet, however if I am not mistaken one is being worked on.

 

If you patch your game to the newest patch, a lot of the updates will not work properly, however, you can read the official September 08 patch thread and get the hang of what you need to do to get some of the stuff compatible with the new patch. It takes some work, but is worth it. If you just want to get to flying to get the hang of the sim before you end up doing tweaking I would suggest holding off on the patch until you get the hang of what you are doing.

I had SFP1 and dont know if the file setup is diferent for the "wings over ****" but all of what your looking for is in the knowledge base and add-on section.

Not easy for poeple who starting, but we all started on the same point :yes: I made dozens mistakes when I installed mods. But I have sometime something right installed

The Knowledge Base has that covered also. Go through it all and it does have a section on adding weapons. FYI, those weapons are not included in the game and have to be downloaded and manually added.
