Silverbolt Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) Hi Veltro! you should see if the landing gears are relationated with Fuselage...(eh, i think you alredy now...but you can be missing it) For example the F-4U: [Fuselage] ModelNodeName=Fuselage ShowFromCockpit=TRUE HasAeroCoefficients=TRUE MassFraction=0.33 (...) FastCargo Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Couple of questions. Looking closely at the main gear, the bogies seem asymetrical. Meaning, the right (looking forward) wheel on each main gear bogie seems to be forward...which results in a foot print that looks like this (looking down): ..||..|| ||..||.. Now if the real aircraft is like that, then that's fine....but it means maybe the sim has some weirdness it doesn't like about the asymetric gear layout. Or maybe it just looks that way to me... That's about all I can think of at the moment... FC Quote
+bigal1 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) I've had this problem before and the only way i found to fix it was to unlink all the landing gear parts then reset xform . I'm guessing the problem was something to do with mesh pivot point orientation and animation , after resetting xform i think you will have to redo gear animation . Good luck Ps . Dont forget to have backup of file just in case as xform reset cannot be undone ( i think lol ) . Edited December 5, 2008 by bigal1 Quote

+Veltro2k Posted December 5, 2008 Author Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) I am just going to remodel the main gear and reanimate it..if all goes well will release a Beta of the Mig31 around the middle of next week Edited December 5, 2008 by Veltro2k Quote
JediMaster Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Looking at FC's awesome ASCII art ( ) it looks like it has 2 left feet instead of mirror images. That still shouldn't result in a flip, but I can see how the game could see it as unstable. Did you use the same 3D model for both main gear bogies instead of "flipping" the left to make the right?
