For anyone that wants to use this mod -I uploaded quick update that includes flares, you need to add the entries from the update to your gundata.ini!

it's a great addon

 

just the range of the searchlight are too low, the 200 cm model can detect a target at 13 km

i have use then a generic model all arond the world

 

it's great to flight a night

Hi Christian,

 

I was unsure how long they should be, so I set them like they are in IL2: Forgotten Battles (used here as reference) at around 3 kilometers beam lenght, I've tested waaay longer ones (but not as long as 13 km), but they didn't look ok -some LOD display issues, clipping related perhaps. But if you want,, I can add longer version.

 

Now we need Deuces or other SF Guru to make them night only... Eric, if you're reading this old friend, help needed

the light is random control or is like a gun automatic control to shot a ennemy plane?

They follow the plane with the beam, visually tracking targets
