Which Lock-On discs have Starforce?

I have the Lock On gold package which consists of two cd's.

 

Am I correct in thinking I can install disc 1 and have NO STARFORCE on my PC?

 

It's my understanding that only the 'Flaming Cliffs' cd had starforce on it.

 

Is this right?

yes,just the expansion disc have Star Force

Do you know if the Lock On Gold disc 1 is the same as the original Lock On patched to V1.02?

i'm not sure but i belive mine came v1.01

anyway, after installed you can check the version in the game's menu corner
