Mike Dora Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Does anyone know how to change the "magnification" factor for the SE5a's Aldis sight? With its slight magnification of the target view, I find it a bit difficult to use, and in any case this is unrealistic. Contrary to common belief, the Aldis was not a telescopic sight, it was a collimating sight with a "magnification" factor of 1:1. Thanks Mike Quote
+Tailspin Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Hi Mike. I think you are looking for the SE5 AVIONICS.INI. Its located in the Objectdata.cat. Change the camera FOV. IIRC something around 16.0 works well. Of course you can fine tune it to suit yourself. TS Quote
Southside Bucky Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 On a related note: Is there any way to get rid of the Aldis altogether? Quote

TS Thanks TS, I've set the FOV to 27, which seems to give about a 1:1 image. _Now_ at last I can shoot stuff down with an SE! Mike Quote
