navychief 1 Posted December 7, 2003 Many years ago, when I first saw someone with a "Old Navy" shirt, or sweatshirt; I thought it was referring to someone who had been in the US Navy for a long time. In other words, a lifer like me. When I found out it was just another clothing store chain, I almost felt let down! Thousands of people wearing "Old Navy" gear, and it had nothing to do with the greatest canoe club in the world! Well then, NOW there is finally a online shop that sells "REAL NAVY" gear! Yep, I found it at: http://www.cafeshops.com/realnavy/ Check it out, shipmates! Go Navy! Navy Chief
+pcpilot 181 Posted December 7, 2003 (edited) I wondered if someone would come up with something like this. I KNEW I shoulda done it first, hehe. I like the black shoe coffee mug. ;) I also liked the quote in the sidebar... "Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile...can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction, 'I served in the United States Navy'." JFK ...amen to that brother... :) Edited December 7, 2003 by pcpilot
firehawkordy 34 Posted December 9, 2003 Looking for my credit card now. Love that Brown Shoe line . I once had to call for the number to the NEX at NAS Lemore, the operator didn't know the differance between Navy Exchange and Old Navy. Guess whose number I got? BTW sent the link to a couple of shipmates from HCS-5, they'll get a kick out of it.
