Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) I have increased the volume on the inline and rotary engine damaged wave files and the overstress wave by 10-15% to give pilots a better audio signal of the condition of your airplane. Of course, you can do this yourself with any decent sound editor, but I thought I would ask if anyone would like me to put this up on the mods page. The file is less than 1 MB in size. Of course, remember to back up your original sound files before replacing them with any of these 3 files. Edited March 23, 2009 by Herr Prop-Wasche

Please immediately refrain from posting, or offering any OFF type original and copywritten material without specific written permission from the OFF Dev Team. What I can suggest is offering how/what you used to increase the volume, which is as easy as using sound recorder in M$, but not our files. Thanks, OvS
Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) No problem OvS, no files have been uploaded. All I did was up the volume slightly using Creative Wavestudio, but any sound editor should work. Edited March 23, 2009 by Herr Prop-Wasche
+Winder 32 Posted March 23, 2009 No problem OvS, no files have been uploaded. All I did was up the volume slightly using Creative Wavestudio, but any sound editor should work. Here is how I would like to see this done: Of course anyone can and will mod files no problem its the way of the game and fun too: 1) If the mods are totally free of any original OFF content i.e solely the work of the 3rd party go ahead and upload them to Combat Ace for sharing we accept no responsibility if said files cause issues in OFF. 2) If the mods are database files or contain original OFF content - eg skins that contain original artwork etc or sounds that are simply tweaked then again no problem simply contact us on support for a nod (we will check to makes sure its not a legal issue) and then give credit to OFF originators as part of the download splurb - and again we accept no responsibility if said files cause issues in OFF. 3) We would prefer you to only upload the files to Combat Ace download section - so please contact them in this regard. Herr Prop-Wasche 7 Posted March 23, 2009 Thanks, Winder. Your solution sounds perfectly reasonable. If I choose to offer the file for download I will certainly contact OBD first.

UK_Widowmaker 571 Posted March 23, 2009 Is it the same for skins?..Because the Aircraft are of course OBD property?
+Winder 32 Posted March 23, 2009 Is it the same for skins?..Because the Aircraft are of course OBD property? The same applies: 1) If the skin is completely 3rd party content you can simply upload to the Combat Ace downloads - contact MK2 etc 2) If the skin is a mod/tweak of an OBD skin (i.e. it contains OBD original artwork - even if only in part) then you will need to check with us as I am sure you can understand that the originator might have issues with his work being uploaded as someone else's.... Other than that go wild but please upload mods to Combat Ace is all I ask! Cheers WM

+MK2 12 Posted March 23, 2009 Roger Wilco Winder Guys there is no need to contact Combatace about uploading any modded files. Just upload them and give proper credit where it is deserved. So from our end go ahead. Follow Winder's wishes and PLEASE upload the sound files if they fit the criteria.
