Spiff Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Could someone take a look at this download, specifically the fuel tanks, the .bmps as well as some of the lods have the same name and I can't get the grey ones to show because of it. There are 4 tanks included. Thanks.
ndicki Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Try renaming the tanks for one of them; you'd then have to edit the data.ini and loadout.ini with notepad to reflect the new names. (Run a search for the old names, or even use "replace all" with the full file names, old and new.) Then you need to hack the LODs with a hex editor - I use XVI32 from http://www.chmaas.handshake.de - search in "text string" for .bmp. Once you've found the reference to the skin files, change the name needed carefully keeping to the same number of characters. Close and save, and rename the corresponding .bmp files with the new name. That should be it.
Spiff Posted March 30, 2009 Author Posted March 30, 2009 Never done any hacking of the LODs. Decided to just use the F-4Gl's tanks and edit the data and loadout .ini. Easier fix IMHO.
