Just been looking at a web site that had a nuieport 11 in German markings. This got me thinking, what if i skin a nuieport and save it as a 'Albatros' for example would i be able

to fly it as a jasta aircraft.

I bet it would have to be saved as an entirely different A/C, say "Nieuport11-Cap" with German affiliation assigned in the code.

If you just named it 'Albatros' in order to get by the squadron A/C assignments (thus the same name as the true A/C) it would just overwrite the real Albatros folder.

I saw those picts as well in the book "Sharks among the minnows" a good read on the Fokker scourge, and think it is a great idea, but it would require a lot of code change.

RedDog, if you just put a Nupe skin in as an Albatros, the Albatros 3D model

would be rendered with the Nieuport skin - a "shark in a jet's clothing" so to say.

I had once been mistaken, and saved an Alb DII skin as a DIII skin.

The result was almost pop art.

But in QC, you really could create such a German Nupe, and fly it against French or British Nupes.
