Indy_BIA 0 Posted December 28, 2003 Ghost Recon 2. I don't mind as long as they stick it on PC and keep the ability to mod it. I do hope they make better graphics and larger maps. I'd love to see some screens of it but doubt they have any released yet
Seawolf 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Dont be surprised to see more games come out for Xbox only in the future. Its so much easier for the Dev teams to build a game for one specific hardware setup vs the nightmare that is PC. Other than flight sims most of my games I play are on Xbox now for the simple reason that when I buy a game I dont have to worry about minimum specs, updating drivers, tweaking windows, etc I just put the disc in and play away and the graphics, etc are just as good if not better than on the PC. With Xbox live games like Rainbow six3 and Ghost Recon really shine. I will probably always need my PC for flight sims and massive multiplayer games like BF1942, but the consoles are really starting to catch up to the PC. SDirickson 0 Posted December 29, 2003 I have to say, even on my old PC I got stellar fps with Raven Shield. Graphics maxed and everything. Now, I run it at 1280 x 1024 with 4xFSAA and 8xAA. Its unbelievable. As for a sequal to Ghost Recon. So long as it is at least as good as RS and they maybe even revamp the recoil system to be something a bit more realistic, like say in DOD, then I'll be a happy camper. Guest MrMudd Posted December 29, 2003 Interesting. I have the Ghost recon for Xbox too. The one problem i have with all consoles game is the resolution. I cant see targets at sufficient ranges. and i am not financialy interested in spending 3-6000 dollars on a tv that can. I have started a game software company. and although their are limits to the Consoles. It still provides funding to a gameing company when a publisher has left them. its a good step for them if they wish to keep doing game design. Consoles are the big sellers, it can provide a gameing company the revenue to support a pc based project.
SlickWili 0 Posted January 30, 2004 I have started a game software company. Woah, there's some news worth looking into! MrMudd, I don't know about everyone else here but I've always thought working for a game software company would be the ultimate career shift. Coding, testing, breaking, coding some more, testing, patching, playing, writing documentation and errata.... cool! I wish you good luck and success with it. Keep us posted! (on what you can divulge, of course ;))
