Hi Guys,

I'm off on detached duty to the Bighorn dam and power station for the next month, and I will have sporadic, or no contact with other units. If anyone would like to contribute to the thread 'On This Day in the Great War', please do.

I will return when the front line spotters report 'les Cigognes' - the Storks - inbound, escorting a brand new fighter pilot to the home aerodrome.

Cheers,

Shred:

Have a good trip. Oddly enough the guy sitting across from me in the control room is from Calgary and he knows the "Bighorn Dam" We work for an electrical utility as operators. We don't have any Hydroelectric stations here, but I used to operate one that was built in 1914 originally to supply hydro for shipbuilding on Georgian Bay during WW1. Oddly enough it has the highest head of any plant east of the Rockies @ 539 feet
