s**t happens; like this:

UncleAl posts this link in one of my threads. I find it so interesting, that I ask him

to post a new thread about this site, as many of you would surely like to see all

these aircraft. Some of them, I had never seen before.

But he replies, that it's been posted in the "Tips & Cheats" since 3 years. Ooops!

Now, honestly - are you also one of those ignorants, who hadn't checked it?

In that case, here it is again; thanks, UncleAl.

And here are some rare craft - who knows them?

(We can make it a little quiz. Well, those who look it up, will surely know it then)

The five-wing 'sesquiplane' [i know that's spelled wrong.] is a Fokker design. Can't remember its designation, right off hand. In the wake of the Dr.I, Fokker got on a tear about 'more wings are better' and forced his designer, Reinhold Platz, to design and build the five-wing monster. Platz objected as vehemently as possible, but Fokker would have his plane, no matter what. So Platz built it. Fokker, who could fly anything, pronounced it a complete disaster on the first flight. It was quietly rolled into a hangar and forgotten.

Lol! So even an Antony Fokker couldn't turn all he built into gold.

Amen to that. Fokker's WWI career was the triumph of 'eyeball engineering'. It's amazing that Fokker or Platz got as far as they did with no formal training.
