+quack74 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Anyone know of a good source of Jasta Boelcke Albatros DIII's other than the Osprey books? I've done about seven skins of DIII's so far. All from the Osprey books. I would like to know if there are other pics, color profiles, or flightline pics out there that I could use. I would like to get as many as possible. I'm doing Jasta B DV's next. So I guess pics for them as well. I cant really afford to keep buying books just to do skins . There's too many So if anyone could or would shoot me some pics or web sites, that would be great Quote

+quack74 Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Here's what I got so far. I would like to get them all in one download to make it easier. So they dont take up so much space in the download section. I dont like how it's not catagorized. Too much searching. Anyway these are some Albatros DIII's of Jasta Boelcke that I've done so far: I'll add their names in the readme when I post them. I would like a few more if possible. Quote
Southside Bucky Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) Nice work again, Quack. There aren't many Jasta 2, Albatros D.III photos. I think You've covered 'em all except maybe this one: http://flickcabin.com/public/view/full/33103 There are two photo references for it in the Osprey 'Jasta Boelcke' book, on pages 40 and 48. Apparently, it was Kempf's machine. The fuselage is black, and the wings are standard brown/green camo. Hope that helps. Bucky Edited June 4, 2009 by Southside Bucky Quote
+quack74 Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) Yeah I did that one, but I made it Ltn. Prien's version with the added circles. Thanks bucky . I managed to get 8 DIII's. Thats good enough I think. Considering thats all there is I'll post them today. Ltn. Noth's green DIII's turtle deck might be a little messy with the dots. It gets a little too distorted around the sides. Edited June 4, 2009 by quack74 Quote
Southside Bucky Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Sorry, man...It didn't even occur to me that they were one and the same machine. Quote
