I downloaded the infantry pack for WOV, it has installed and I get the units in game, but they do not fire. In the readme for the game it eludes to copying and moving gun data from gundata.ini and all sorts of things that I cannot find in the actual zip or anywhere.

The following guns have to be found in gundata.ini:

GunTypeName=40MM_M79

GunTypeName=50CAL_M2

GunTypeName=5.56mm_Assaultrifle

GunTypeName=66MM_LAW

GunTypeName=7.62MM_M60

GunTypeName=7.62mm_PKB

GunTypeName=7.62MM_Rifle

GunTypeName=84MM_AT-4

GunTypeName=Bazooka

GunTypeName=RPG-7

All of them should be found in the latest weapons pack.

nstallation:

1.

Backup folowing files: BulletObject.ini, GroundObjectData.ini, Gundata.ini and Gundata.dat(in \Objects), Weapondata.ini and WeaponData.dat (in \Objects\Weapons)

2.

copy BulletObject.ini, GroundObjectData.ini, Gundata.ini and Gundata.dat and all the other Files into \objects

copy Weapondata.ini and WeaponData.dat into \Objects\Weapons

- latest Weaponpack form 19.Nov04 is included

3. open GroundObjectData.ini (found in \objects or extract it from ObjectData.cat)

Merge folowing entrys in it and correct the XXX with continuous numbers:

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=M113_ACAV

ObjectFullName=M 113 ACAV w. US Special Forces

ObjectDataFile=M113_ACAV_Data.INI

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=US_Squad

ObjectFullName=US Infantry Squad

ObjectDataFile=US_Squad_data.ini

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=US_Squad_early

ObjectFullName=US Marines Squad

ObjectDataFile=US_Squad_early_data.ini

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=Soviet_Squad

ObjectFullName=OPFOR Infantry Squad

ObjectDataFile=Soviet_Squad_data.ini

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=VC_Squad

ObjectFullName=Vietcong Squad

ObjectDataFile=VC_Squad_data.ini

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=NVA_Squad

ObjectFullName=North Vietnamese Squad

ObjectDataFile=NVA_Squad_data.ini

[Objectxxx]

ObjectName=Soldier_AT-3

ObjectFullName=Soviet AT-3 Sagger

ObjectDataFile=Soldier_AT-3_data.INI

Put the two files into WOV/OBJECTS folder

Its the gundata files from a TMF 2008 wepaonpack, it should have all the guns you need

To be precise, the gundata.ini MUST imperatively be placed in the "Objects"-folder, otherwise new installed guns won't work. I've got a similar problem and asked at TK's forum for help, that's where I got this hint: http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...p;sk=t&sd=a

Is there another weapons pack anywhere? The one you kindly linked to unfortunately does not have most of the necessary weapons files:

GunTypeName=40MM_M79

GunTypeName=50CAL_M2

GunTypeName=5.56mm_Assaultrifle

GunTypeName=66MM_LAW

GunTypeName=7.62MM_M60

GunTypeName=7.62mm_PKB

GunTypeName=7.62MM_Rifle

GunTypeName=84MM_AT-4

GunTypeName=Bazooka

GunTypeName=RPG-7

Ok I put the gunpak into the right place, /OBJECTS... but the infantry mod that use the weapons do not fire. Do i need other files such as the BulletObject.ini and Weapondata.ini and WeaponData.dat the modder was talking about?
