other way to Honor a person/fellow pilot that died, is to fly in a missing formation

 

did your Squadron ever do it?

 

i know that after the STS-107 disaster, i flew with my old Squad (in USAF)

a missing formation to Honor all 7 astronauts of the shuttle

among them the first Israeli astronaut, Ilan Ramon.
