It is an amazing part of the 1996 "Wings of Eagles" airshow with CAPT Dale "Snort" Snodgrass at the controls of an F-14B Tomcat, preforming aerobatics with an F7F Tigercat. "Snort" was one of NAVAIR's most skilled sticks, and nearly every account I have heard or read of fights against him ended up in one of two ways: the recounter having been gunned, or having fought hard to a stalemate, regardless of the aircraft His Snortlieness was flying (F-14A, F-14B, A-4, F-5, T-38, etc.) or the plane he was flying against (F-14, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, A-4, MiG-21 over Groom Lake, etc.) To this day, "Snort" is still flying in at least the F-86 and P-51 for airshow audiences, and has always been described as an amazing person, officer and pilot.
