Guest British_eh Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Loaded the new 132.f, and coincidentally new nvidia drivers. Went to OFF and when I go to Campaign/QC I get an error message about the config settings and with the message to reload OFF and DELETE ALL PILOTS, etc. What happened and why. Can it be gotten around? AHHHHHHHHH, British_eh

Please note the following from Installation & Graphics FAQ: http://www.overfland...on_and_settings ...if you ever update your video card driver, you will need to re run Graphics Config, to accept the new video driver for OFF (just as you do in vanilla CFS3). Usually, all you need to do is click on Graphics Config in Workshops and reconfigure your video card. Edited September 4, 2009 by BirdDogICT
Guest British_eh Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Thanks BD. Never had to do that, or rather, not from an upgrade. Cheers, British_eh
+Polovski Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 For the record, it's not the upgrade it's the fact you changed video drivers, which as the FAQ states needs a CFSConfig re run - even vanilla CFS3 needs this.
Broadside uda Barn Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 file this in the "hope it doesnt happen to you...but" file. I had this happen, got the reinstall OFF message, got around it by configuring properly, but every so often I started getting odd error messages. Finally I reinstalled OFF as it told me to originally, and all problems are gone.
+Polovski Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Yeah unfortunately PCs being PCs anything is possible to break for a million reasons given the tremendous variations out there in hardware/software/configs, but new video drivers will 99% of the time mean CFS will not run until you run CFS3Config.

Thanks POL, just been such a long time since I had to do anything. Thought I would just post a message, as I was unable to search the FAQ, ( daughter had to use the PC :) Cheers, British_eh Edited September 6, 2009 by British_eh
