OK listen up, this test is for high end ATI card users with high end computers only. Thanks to Caesar, I made my HDR mod friendly to ATI cards. To make my mod to work effectively, you need to set in-game graphics to unlimited. Don't worry, you'll get good frame rates, trust me. Again this is for users with high end computers with high end ATI cards only! Please report your findings in this thread. Thank you.

These are some of the screens I've captured. The effect itself is pretty amazing, and with the contrast differential the camera actually brightens and darkens the plane with regard to its position with the sun.

Of note is that the frame rate has been very good overall, even when it drops into the 30's area, it's consistent, making the game run smoothly. It will go as high as the 70's depending on the angle, which is better than I've seen before with an ATI-based card (I'm using a Sapphire 4850HD)

I cut together a little video showing gameplay with the HDR effect. Better viewed in High Quality, full-screen.

OK, made the shadows more defined, by 2%. I hopefully made the cockpit bit brighter. Again this is for high end computer users with high end ATI cards. I'm gonna post up screenshots and the update here.

How is it coming along guys? Just wondering if there's any problems. Do you guys like test #2 better or what? Just checking to see if I can upload this mod in the downloads section yet.

Falcon,

From what I see, it's responding just about the same as 2.7 (good frames, good picture) and I feel as though the contrast ratio is spot-on. Effect is pretty darn good from my perspective.

So you like test #3 ini the best or test #2? Or should I zip them both in a package?

In my opinion, I think you should go with 3, it looks splendid.

Okie Dokie, #3 it is then. Should upload it in few hours. Want to work on the First Eagles version first. Latest shots I put up in the FE forum didn't receive any response what so ever. :this:
