Just wondering what the average turn around was for folks in the States, from purchase to delivery. Not being impatient or anything, just curious is all. Not worried either or I wouldn't have followed this from the start. Still remember the old "P1" days. Not that P1 and P2 weren't fun, but they were only appetisers. The real meat and potatoes is BHaH. grin.gif

I believe I had it in about 6-7 business days. Might be even quicker now as I ordered it when there was the big rush

It's coming out of Northern Calfornia, SW Florida took 3 days, and most you meet on the road drive F150's and C10's. While a chap in Montana got in 11 Days. If you can figure out the inner workings of the, U.S, Postal Service, you'll be the first. They're asking Congress now, if they can eliminate Saturday Deliveries as a cost cutter. And the same in charge jokers want Government Healthcare. Let's find the problem in the Postal Service, and Fix It FIRST

I'm with ya' uncleal! But my question just got answered 30 minutes ago! It's here! So after I finish with lunch, I'm gonna remove the old P2 version, and reinstall CFS3 3.1 and load BHaH on a clean install. It's always been the best way for me, rather than just upgrading and loading in new stuff. I already have the latest 1.32 patch dl'ed from the other day, so I can pop that in there too.

Btw, the lunch mess menu is Venison Steak cubed (about 1/2 to 1 inch in size), with the original Boston Baked Beans from B&M. They were a 2 for one sale, so I couldn't pass them up.

Heat venison in a medium sized pot on the stove with low heat until thoroughly cooked. Add a large can of your favorite beans, and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of molasses (depending on your taste) and simmer on very low heat stirring often until well heated. The little boiling bubbles around the edge of the pot that form almost immediately after stirring is complete. Serve with a garden salad, and your favorite dressing, and a couple snifters of a berry flavored brandy.

Then fire up BHaH and enjoy a nice afternoon's combat above the trenches.

IIRC, P2 doesn't have to be removed

Just install P3 right over it and you're good to go

Clean install has been a personal guideline as it has never failed me in the past.

Thanks for the tip though!

Don't use the cfs3 uninstall icon

There is an unistall procedure

The main off files must be removed and 2 other locations must be deteleted too

Thanks fellas for the info, but everything loaded up fine, and I got right to it. My first mission in an Albatros DIII early was uneventful. No E/A were sighted. Balloon protection mission. The Second mission we tangled with some unidentified British 2 seaters. There were 4 and then there none. I bagged one with 250 rounds of ammo. Got in close from underneath, pointed the nose up, and raked the belly of the beast. He fell off to the the right on fire. Nobody jumped so I'm guessing I hit the pilot, and the observer. 10 minutes later as we approached our second waypoint on the patrol, 8 DH2's showed up. There was another flight of Albatros fighters to our left closing on them, as we came in head on to them. It was great fun! I hit a DH2 twice with around 150 rounds, and he started to smoke, pulled up, and went into a flatspin, from which he didn't recover. So I actually got 2 claims in, but had to make an emergency landing at the nearest German field. I touched down ok, but the engine sounded like it was ready to come apart, so I thought better than to push it, it is better to land asap. Although I must admit that the DIII variant is my favorite of the series. Light on the controls, yet responsive. Recovery from the stall is is straight forward, without any tendency to spin, as long as you apply some rudder input in the direction of the stall left or right. The only drawback being the sesquiplane issue of the lower wing snapping off in a dive. Bit as long as you keep your energy and exploit her good points, she's a rock solid platform.

Uncleal,

Sorry about the venison being small down that way. Not too many trophies here, but the last one I got gave me a good 80 pounds of meat after de-boning. Although I can appreciate the fish. I found a few good spots on Lake St. Claire where the pike run between 28 and 40 inches average size, and the muskie can run 50+ pounds. The largemouth and smallies aren't bad either. They usually run 16 to 24 inches, and 6 to 9 pounds. But the perch and bluegill are a far cry from what they used to be like. Partially because the bays where they used to stay in no longer have the reeds like they did, so there aren't as many places for them to hide and get really big like they used to. The walleye on the river are good though. And the darn sturgeon are monsters. I saw the tail of one that splashed on the surface about 6 weeks ago, and tail had to have been 2 feet across from top to bottom. They breech to knock the lamprey off, and they usually come off in pieces. So this thing must have been every bit of 6 or 7 feet long.
