zagnut Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 Hi all, I just loaded up new nvidia drivers- 56.xx i think, butg whenever i load a program, i get a freeze/ctd. anyone know how i can fix this?
+Dagger Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 what card are you using..I installed the new drivers and had all kinda trouble for awhile but things are starting to work on their own.Not sure what I did but it seems to have worked.Oh yeah..it was the 56.64 drivers.LOMAC was the main problem..and Strike Fighter has this really weird multi colored load screen problem
+Fates Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 It's the standard Murphy Driver Problem...fix 10 things...break 12 more...
Chaingun Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 that unfortunately works for both ATI and Nvidia, guess when you have to write a driver for so many different platforms (which should be a standard base anyway) you never truly know what your gonna get until you do it.

+Dagger Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Zagnut which programs are you having trouble with...with LOMAC i had to get the exe fix for it.and now it works fine.had to launch it from this new exe but it seems to have fixed the problems.
zagnut Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 (edited) Actually, I just bought a new ATI card. It's not the drivers, but the dang thing has been easily overheating, and they wouldn't replace it! Nothing personal, and I've been using their cards for years now, but c'mon man!
