To be fair guys it's an option offered by Avangate that no one is forcing you to select.

 

If you don't want a permanent link stored for you for two years (maybe we are long gone by then?) then don't select it.

 

Otherwise do what most do and download the file and look after it like any product. Burn it to CD, put it on a backup disk whatever?

 

Obviously we aren't inhuman and if the link broke during your first initial download no one will be left in the lurch without a file.
