Olham Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) Here are two location maps from Townshend; one of these I had introduced before. Funny he doesn't show the French, but he does show the Belgians. Mybe of interest for some of you. Jasta/Squadron/Escadrille locations: http://patriot.net/~...end/WW1AirMap2/ [unclick the national yombols you don't want to show; then choose "display type" top left.] The other site shows German Jastas only. http://patriot.net/~...send/WW1AirMap/ Choose the date there, then move cursor either over the red location dots, to get the location name highlighted in the list below; or move the cursor over the location name in the map, to get the dot highlighted. Olham Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 In Townshends map, I find these west-Belgian locations for Belgian Escadrilles: Les Moeres, La Panne, and Koksijde (Coxyde) Must check later, if we have those fields in OFF? Quote
RAF_Louvert Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 . A great resource Olham. Thanks for bringing this to our attention again. . Quote
Dej Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 For those wanting to know where the USAS squadrons pitched in WW1. There an interactive map on This Site, which, incidentally is very well presented overall. I'm sure I'm not the first to refrence this in these fora but, in the spirit of reminders.... Quote
RAF_Louvert Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 . Very good Dej! Thank you Sir. . Quote
Olham Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Very good addition, Dej! Now we only need to find a similar site for the French. Quote
Dej Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Okay, not truly not interactive but Escadrille locations are listed on This Site, again a wealth of additional information on the site... si on peut parler un peu de français Quote
Olham Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 C'est formidable, Dej, merci beaucoup! Even for non-French speakers easy to use. Quote
