I just finished a leisurely observation mission to the front and back in a Strutter, and I spent a great deal more time doing it than was necessary. And to borrow a phrase from our Aussie friends, I was utterly "gob smacked" by the grandeur of the vistas. The rolling hills and forests and farmlands with the clouds and sky were so beautifully rendered that I felt I was gazing at a masterpiece of art. And I was. I had to take a multitude of screen shots. OFF has come a long way since it's beginning and I'm glad I journeyed with it. I'm humbled by what the team has accomplished over the years. It's become a masterpiece of creation. Congradulations, gents. You've done yourselfs proud.

Actually, I had a question in mind, but never got to it. Thanx for reminding me. It's about the trees surrounding an airfield. When I'm taking off or landing, those nearby conifers show as vertical planes and the conifers show as large petals. This is the same in Phase 2 and Phase 3. Is this a setting I'm missing? I have aircraft, terrain, and scenery sliders set to 4 in the OFF config file. Or is this inherent in the sim and I have to live with it? I'm running a AMD quad processor with two 275GTX video cards in SLI and could bump something up if necessary.
