IL2 Sturmovik on win7

Hii guys,

 

I cant install IL2 Sturmovik on my pc. Its the original game. When i put the cd in nothing happens. I tried launching the setup.exe on the cd but nothing happens.

 

I felt the urge to play this wonderful game again

 

Any ideas on why it wont work?

 

OS: Windows 7 x64

CPU: Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz

GPU: 8800GTS 512

RAM: 4Gb

I did something even simpler I just copied the whole content from the CD to my HDD and now it just works, no install. hehe

Hi, I just tried this with Pacific Fighters, maybe it'll work with IL2. When the open window comes up after inserting the disk don't clik "setup.exe". Just close the window and go to "my computer". Then double click on the disk drive you inserted the disk in. Double click on the game setup file (in my case the setup file is "setuppf.exe"...DO NOT CONFUSE WITH "setup.exe"!!!). After that, the installation wizard should come up.
