UnknownPilot 33 Posted February 7, 2010 Seeing the title, I immediately thought of this - That video is new (to me) though, I know (and love) the song, but by happy coincidence when I searched for it just now, that fan-made video came up.
Olham 164 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) Here are more from "The Aerodrome" - click on 'WW1 aviaton art': http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/ The profile of the Fokker F.1 is by James F. Miller - "our" JFM here on the Forum. Hope you don't mind me "borrowing" it from the Aerodrome, James? Edited February 7, 2010 by Olham
Ironhat 0 Posted February 7, 2010 The paintings are beautiful. The Red Baron video link in the reply above: The video itself was interesting. The song done in rock is completely wrong for this era. The pilots of the day would have not liked it one bit imo. Go ahead call me an old foggy.

Especially when you see it set against that video. It's energetic, even manic; fast past, aggressive, and serious. Which is pretty much what a furball is. Plus, I'm a metal-head, and an Iced Earth fan, and an aero-geek who loves WWI kites, so.... I think it's pretty much a given that I would like it. hehe Oh and, yes, those paintings do indeed rock too.
Ironhat 0 Posted February 7, 2010 Rock, metal whatever, poor excuse for music imo. I still think it doesn't fit a WWI dogfight. Thats just my opinion and not a reflection upon your choice of "music". To each his own brother. :)
