Von Paulus 8 Posted February 13, 2010 Jutland, a naval wargame from Storm Eagles Studio, where one of the developers is one of our more prolific community members, is on sale. I've tried the demo before and thought it was interesting. I like to try everything related with WWI. And with the sale on it was just inevitable.
Olham 164 Posted February 13, 2010 I knew there was a demo, but I must admit, that I have so far never got me the demo yet, as I have no idea of Navy strategies at all. Could you report about how easy or not it is to understand and handle/learn this way of fighting? I understand this is not against a forum rule, as this sim is no competitor to OFF? And yes, I also begin to get more interested in other aspects of WW1.
Hasse Wind 46 Posted February 13, 2010 Olham, Jutland is quite easy to play, but challenging to master. It certainly helps if you know at least the basics of WW1 naval history and naval tactics and strategy. Give the demo a try and see for yourself if you're interested - that's the best method of forming an opinion on the game. I think Jutland is a very good naval wargame, and doesn't have nearly as steep a learning curve as some other games in the genre.
Von Paulus 8 Posted February 13, 2010 Like Hasse Wind said it's easy to play but not easy to master. Try the demo Olham. This is not a competitor to OFF. It's good to play once in a while. At least with me that's the way it happens.
