A6Intruder Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Hi Mates, after some weeks of hunting Ships in Silent Hunter 3, i am back at the skies of FE. Of course i found the outstanding work from Jan Tuma. But i got the above problems which i could not understand. I did the installation with the enabler into the Terrain-folder. In Single mission if i choose Vogesen or Flanders i get an CTD. Anyone with an idea? Best regards and thank you in forward for your response!
+Tailspin Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Do you have the original Vogesen and Flanders terrains installed?
Bandy Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) All I can think is that there is some corrupt file. I downloaded 4 times before I got it to work, but still haven't tried all terrains yet -- I can't seem to leave Vogesen! The transformation is simply amazing with ground shadows, the masses of trees, and yet GREAT frame rates! One thing I did try was to rename the backup folders I noticed in each terrain folder, and they appear to be unnecessary for the sim & terrain to work. Edited February 20, 2010 by Bandy
+Tailspin Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 What I was getting at is that Jan's terrains aren't complete terrains, only new tiles and the necessary .ini files for them to work. You have to have all the other files from the originals for it to work.
