I swear I had nothing to do with this apart from posting the pic (which already makes me a target to UK_Widowmaker). I recently undertook to scan all the Society's negatives, and found this amongst them, just after reading the post by UK_W about the plant at Ham.

My god, each time I see the thin wires or the way rope held something together,

I really wonder how they dared to get up in these crates!

 

Does anyone know, why the wheel spokes were always covered with linnen?

I believe it was simply to keep the mud out. I don't think that anyone thought it would improve the aerodynamics or reduce drag.

the rope is there to tie urself up after capture.

 

It will be great to have snipes in P4 so we can shoot the crap out of them.
