dfang Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Hi all, Ive got some old TM RCS pedals,(game port connection). Also have MS FF2(usb) stick....question is will they work together?and if they will, how do i disable the rudder twist feature on the stick?my os is XP pro. thanks
*BtS*$y$t£M=M= Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I beleive that for each item. u can set up gaming profiles so what will and wont work within the game u can most likley download gaming profiles or create your own but im not sure how that is done my memory has its losses
dfang Posted June 6, 2004 Author Posted June 6, 2004 GhostDog, I did some experimenting, the game port will reconize pedals,as long as i connect a serial joy in the Y cable,,,prob is that my FF2 is usb,,,cant use it wit TM pedals, too bad cause i really want some rudder pedals...These pedals are really nice. Can they be adapted to usb someway?or i would have to get a non usb joy....that would be a option,,,,,but what joy would be good, that didnt have twist rudder function? Ive got a old CH flight yoke,,it works wit the pedals...but im mostly a military pilot....i need a joy stick...heck even the C-17 has a joy stick to fly that big boy.
GhostDog Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 hmmm .. perhaps some soldering. I really don't know. I thought about getting a CH stick with gameport connection, which i can get really cheap, and try to solder a USB plug on it. I thought that might might work since the same stick is made in both variants and the internals of the stick might be the same .. dunno about your pedals though. There might be a few things you would like to try first, i'm just not sure i know what
dfang Posted June 6, 2004 Author Posted June 6, 2004 GhostDog, I fired off a e-mail to TM,,ask if parts were available for their usb pedals,so maybe i could get a pot w/usb y cable. That would be to easy,,,LOL.Then i could adapt to old rudder pedals.I know i could buy a 250k linear pot from Raido Shack but dont know about usb cable.
