+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I need some help, I tried to install SF2 today and Windows told me that I haven`t enough space on C: to install this game, I choose G: as the install HDD and I now need to setup windows to a standart that files are extracted during installations to another Harddrive than C: I know it`S possible but don`t know how and all stuff I `ve found on the web doesn`t lead to the result I want. Hope here is someone who can help me thanks

Hope here is someone who can help me thanks Okay how much space is there on the C Drive? If I remember rightly what happens is that when a program is to be installed it looks at the C Drive no matter what drive letter you select as it will use the C Drive for file paging in other words it will use your C Drive while its installing onto your G Drive... I maybe wrong on this though but I would make sure you have some space on the C Drive... without having my notes (They're at work) typical the one day you need work and you leave it at work... Hope this helps some...
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 I found another solution, but there mus be a way to say this damn Microsoft product not to use C: for extracting files?!
Slartibartfast Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Not to my knowledge... When I am next in work I will ask around but the wonderful people at Microsoft (Need a Sarcasm Emote for that one) expect everyone to use a single Hard drive classed as C:
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 I hope not :-P I have drives till M: all in all 1TB
ezlead Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 76: I have a C and D drive. I move most of my "storage" stuff to my D drive. That always leaves me enough room to operate the "Microsoft Way" on my C drive. Just a suggestion if you can do it that way.
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 I want to make an entry wich says all "unpacked temporary files goes to D:" that`S all ;-)
