+Olham Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 What is it all about - a sim or rather something like "Google Earth" ?
UK_Widowmaker Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 from what I can tell, they have developed this terrain, and are trying to sell it to games manufacturers as an 'engine'
+Olham Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 It is looking very realistic - great job! But again I also realise, what a piece of artwork our OFF landscape is; it is not as cold as reality, not so blue-green-grey as real life - it looks warmer, gentler in a way. Which gives me some comfort in a war like this, if you know what I mean.

MikeDixonUK Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 (edited) That landscape with the trees reminds me a lot of the landscape in Operation: Flashpoint and in ArmA II, looks good. I remember a while back seeing a video of a 3D engine that went from outer-space, through the atmosphere and onto the surface of the planet itself, now that looked good! Was the perfect sort of thing for an online space game or MMO, problem is these days most developers are fine with making enclosed boxes without much character or scope.
