newbe asks infrared?

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys, though i am not completely new to this forum, i have just registered.

I have a question regarding infrared images. Whatever I tried, (checkboxes in weaponeditor, entrys in cockpitfiles or config. files) I never see any images on a mfd in the cockpit when it is dark outside, exept the moonlit objects as they look in plain camera view. I it possible in WOV to have real infrared?

There is no "infrared" view in this series per se, that is, a view that specifically shows hot or warm objects as light sources. There is, however, a low light camera feature, that operates both through weapons designators, and/or as a stand alone unit. The F-14B cockpit has such a view keyed to it's MFD (via its TCS system).

You'll need to add the system to both the aircraft's data.ini, and to its avionics.ini.

G'day Furbar512,

Thank you for your quick reply, i am not around my own computer right now, so i can't try the F-14 it immediately. I will, most certainly, when i got home next month.
