vonOben 55 Posted July 27, 2010 Hi The estimated mission time did match the actual mission time fairly well in my first BHaH campaigns in 1915 and early 1916 flying Fokker EIII’s and Halberstadt DII’s. But in my latest campaign with Jasta 2 in late 1916 flying Albatros DI/DII is the estimated flying time not very accurate any longer. The missions are usually estimated to around 30 minutes and the actual flying time is often the double. Is this normal in BHaH? Cheers vonOben
Olham 164 Posted July 27, 2010 It's normal - the flying time MAY be getting messed up by "pause" or "warping" - not sure. But if you want the full real time, you need to go as far as RAF_Louvert: he stops the time with a stop watch, and corrects it in his pilot files. Maybe in P4 we get the right time again. vonOben 55 Posted July 28, 2010 Hi Olham Hmmm, not sure that you understand what I meant. I’m talking about the estimated flying time that is displayed in the briefing screen before the mission. That time is much to low every time now and always much lower than it was for my previous pilots in early 1915 – 1916. Cheers vonOben
Olham 164 Posted July 28, 2010 Oh, I see. Must check that. Well, if I use "fuel management", I always fill in 150 % of what the briefing recommends, over own territory, and the double amount of what's recommended, if it goes over enemy terrain. That works for me. And the time: you could note it and compare, how much it really gets. Perhaps you find a percentage formula, you can calculate with? Waldemar Kurtz 1 Posted July 29, 2010 if you complete your mission objectives the clock stops. I noticed this right away when I finished a recon or an arty-spot (don't remember which) to be honest. but once the primary mission objective was finished it didn't record ANYTHING that happened afterwards. which, if you think about it, might explain why the flight time on the pilot's log only reflects about half of the in-game time. there are two options: don't complete your primary mission objectives... ever. and this won't be a problem or you manually edit the time in your pilot's log. vonOben 55 Posted July 29, 2010 if you complete your mission objectives the clock stops. OK, thanks for that information which was unknown to me. But my question is about a general miscalculation of the flying time before the missions. When I follow the way points as intended the flying time is much longer than estimated before the mission. For example we were transferring to new home field and the estimated mission time were 3 minutes which is impossible if you follow the way points.
