hynkel Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Is it possible to get AC serials to appear i seqence for WoI aircrafts? I have an NUMBER.LST file and i got the all SOVIETNUM from WoV. I't sems only the ARABICSn to work properly in the WoI. If so post the comand line to add to add to the DECALS.INI Quote
+Wrench Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 DecalLevel=2 just look at how other decal inis do it. If youre ADDINIG new serials/ID numbers/etc, You must also have the individual Borts IN each decals folder of EACH aircraft, if you're adding them. BTW, the SoveitNums should be residing the WOI Object.cats. Edit the decals ini as seen on other Soviet-used birds and they should show up An alternative, would be to create a /Decals subfolder of the /Objects folder (just like WoE/SF/WoV used), dump the Borts in there and edit the decals ini to point to it the folder path would be: /Objects/Decals/*decalname* and in the decals ini, it would read [Decal009] MeshName=Fuselage DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Decals/SovietNum Position=3.862,-0.065 Scale=0.8 DecalMaxLOD=3 the question is, why use sovite borts on arab aircraft? There's a possiblily of the game's Limited Nations statement not allowing any other nations than those present/allowed on the IME map. wrench kevin stein Quote
hynkel Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 (edited) Thx most helpfull! Why using soviet numbers? I'm made an Iranian F-7M AirGuard from the messed up F-7pack (The F-7BS Sri-lankan version) adjusted pilot position and weapon hardpoints and the wrong textures in the Skin folder ( Should be Mig-21MF textures ) It's quite orkward to use Arab serials in arabic on persian planes. +Wrench Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 makes sense to me!! if you don't want red, there's some blue borts I made somewhere's in the downloads section (skins? Decals? -disremember exactly where) If you're talking about Howling1/Madcaddie's old pak .. I'd cross CHECK everything, and possibly use newly extracted data ini for the MF (renamed/edited accordintly) to get the latest 08 flight models. That's what I did when I updated them a few years back. Correct models ARE actually needed -- if the F-7 has the rear window (which, iirc, it shouldn't) maybe the on by TMF could be used. wrench kevin stein Quote

BUT THE RESULT TURNED OUT REALLY WELL! Pitty about the back window Quote
+Wrench Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 did you try getting the "A.tga" to work? It's a cheat, that uses a decal to cover the window. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it dont' (having the very same problem on the Paki F-7s, too) wrench kevin stein Quote

How did you do it? Quote
+Wrench Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) this is right out of th old decals ini (08 level), so you can see there's not /D subfolder refernced, the A.tga just sits with the skin bmps [Decal011] MeshName=Rear_Glass DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=Right FilenameFormat=F-7P Skybolt/PAFSilver/A Position=0.50,1.0 Scale=2.0 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal012] MeshName=Rear_Glass DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=Left FilenameFormat=F-7P Skybolt/PAFSilver/A Position=0.50,1.0 Scale=2.0 DecalMaxLOD=3 but what I can't remember is, if it worked or not!!! Might need some fiddling with the positions to get it on the window (or decal pathway) wrench kevin stein Edited September 22, 2010 by Wrench Quote
