jlan5031 0 Posted October 7, 2010 I just stumbled across Gorrell's History of the U.S. Airservice. It's an original report found on Footnote.com. I haven't seen it mentioned before Definitely worth looking at.
shredward 12 Posted October 8, 2010 I just stumbled across Gorrell's History of the U.S. Airservice. It's an original report found on Footnote.com. I haven't seen it mentioned before Definitely worth looking at. Yeah, it's a goldmine. Some units did a much better job of summarising their histories than others, but it all makes for fascinating reading. One thing I found particularly interesting was the readiness reports of some of the SPAD units. Those Hissos caused a lot fo headaches! Olham 164 Posted October 8, 2010 Oh, all the books one would love to read! Congrats, jlan5031. I was so lucky to find a copy of Theo Osterkamp's "Du oder ich" and ordered it - not here yet. I'm hoping to find something about him flying the Fokker E.V perhaps.
