Lexx_Luthor Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 They went at the fancy dance crossing point between Pakistan and India, roundabout 55 dead -- among the dancers and viewers I suppose. I recall a smooth The CombatAce thread about that border point a year or two back. 2 November 2014 : Pakistan: : : The daily ceremony always draws a large crowd, which the suicide bomber targeted. This is the first time that this symbol of national pride has been attacked. ~ http://www.kforcegov.com/Services/IS/NightWatch/NightWatch_14000232.aspx Funny since that thread where I learned about it, I think about that border ceremony at least once a week maybe, it always pops up in my mind out of nowhere. Its so interesting to see. Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 They are beefing up, not folding to terrorists ~> http://zeenews.india.com/news/jammu-and-kashmir/pakistan-allows-beating-retreat-ceremony-at-wagah-after-blast_1493435.html An odd target perhaps, as this in a small way could unite Pakistan's and India's militaries, at least on this count, a pea wea bit. Lexx_Luthor Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Not what I wanted to hear, but I have suspected it for a long, long time. x'>For the night of 9 November 2014:: Iraq: Comment.: : Finally, ISIL exists because none of its enemies wants it destroyed, despite what they say. All want it weakened, but all find it useful, including the US. Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) From the too weird to make up department:: x'>For the night of 26 January 2015 : : Iraq: On 23 January, Kurdish forces fired 20 Grad rockets into Mosul.... ....ISIL said the rockets killed 30 civilians. : : Lexx's comment: I don't know any thing more than this, and I'd like to hold off judgment on a thing like this, until all the facts are in, butt.... Before or after ISIL beheaded 30 civilians? Also interesting on this nightwatch, Pakistan went almost totally dark, like NK maybe, with just one militant attack on one or two electricity towers. Lexx_Luthor Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Update on the Wagah crossing bombing. ~> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Wagah_border_suicide_attack They gunned down some suspects in Jan. Apparently the bomber had explosives to do a lot more carnage, but was forced to blow from far back because of security distance. I assume that distance has been increased. Quote
