OT - Commander

Recommended Posts

Commander is a new computer wargame covering WWI. It looks very promising. It is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2011.

Another interesting wargame, but this covering WWII, it's Panzer Corps. The authors are being inspired by the classic wargame Panzer General.

Personally, Panzer General is the best computer wargame I've ever played.

Wow! Outstanding, VP!!! I am also an old fan of PG, enjoyed many a "PBEM" game back before online gaming was really heard of. I can't wait to see more about these games.

Thanks for sharing this great find.

Unfortunately it seems to be relative unknown, yet. I only discovered this when I was looking for a new version of PGForever, and read that the guy who created PGForever was helping developing a commercial wargame inspired in PG.

But I hope that it begins to spread there are a lot of PG fans out there. Besides they want to make a series like PG, covering this way, also the Pacific. That would be great.

If you haven't already, another great game to check out at Slitherine is BBC Battlefield Academy. It's WWII and is a blast to play! I'm a Combat Mission and Panzer General fan and this game is the first in a long, long time to grab me the way those games did. Don't let its cartoonish look throw you off ( part of its charm actually ) it can be a real nail biter.:good:

Admittedly, it's been distracting me from playing OFF. Shameful I know.
