I used to be able to make PC to Phone calls for free. Haven't even tried to do so for a long time now.

 

I looked into doing so again this morning, and it appears that the Free part is not available anymore.

 

Does anyone out there have more information on this?

 

For a short time, at least, I would like to be able to make very brief PC to Phone calls, without being charged.

 

Is this possible?

Vonage also provides phone service via PC over broadband. Vonage.com could answer some of your questions. I don't know if it is nation wide yet, but I do know they are expanding service. It is a pay thing, not free. A guy at work has it and swears by it. Voice quality is crystal clear.
