+Wrench Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 any particular country? TK's covered pretty much most of them (depending on the game, sometimes) there's 2 ways to add the 'national insigina', 1) paint it on the skin (harder) 2) use a decal -- then create a new, or edit an existing decals ini (and textureset ini) to add the country's insigina to the aircraft Also, since you're new to the game (and Welcome!), we tend to point newcomers to the handy dandy Knowledge Base, which has lots of info on modding/changing the games. wrench kevin stein Quote
Phil56 Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Thank you Kevin for welcome me in this sim! I am talking about the Arab forces insignia before they became independent, for example: Syrian Air Force and Royal Egyptian Air Force. Looking for learn all the 3th Wire Knowledge Base! Phil56 Quote
+Wrench Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 since I don't have WoI installed anymore (having moved, like most folks to the SF2 series), I don't recall IF there's a 'switch' point in the Nations.ini (tho, I'm sure there might be), that turns on/off the old EAF and UARAF roundells. To make certain, you'll need to extract the Nations.ini from the FlightData.cat, using Skypat's extrator tool, and scroll through it looking for the date switch. I'm pretty certain TK uses that in 1stGEns too; this is the Egypt nation statement from teh SF2 nations ini: Name=Egypt DisplayName=Eqyptian Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst RankList=RanksRAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=POOR GenderRatio=0 DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav SpeechFile=USAFSpeech.cat SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str ActiveDate=1971 AlternateDecal=Egypt_OLD58 <--- and futher down... // Egypt 58-71 [Nation076] Name=Egypt_OLD58 ActiveDate=1958 AlternateDecal=Egypt_OLD48 // Egypt 48-58 [Nation077] Name=Egypt_OLD48 so, they should be there, based on WHAT year you fly in Also, if you could REDUCE the font size in your posts, please. The larger fonts make it look like your shouting, and it's considered a bit rude. Thanks! wrench kevin stein Quote
Phil56 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) Sorry I got very happy to enter in this, I´ll use normal size letter :-) I do not know how to put the correct decal in the game. This is what I done; I added a new nation to NATIONS.INI like this: [Nation086] Name=Egypt DisplayName=Royal Eqyptian Air Force Alignment=ENEMY PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst RankList=RanksRAF.lst CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter Formation.Attack=SovietFighter Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber Formation.Transport=SovietBomber Formation.Tank=SovietTank Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD PilotTrainingStandard=POOR GenderRatio=0ActiveDate=1971 AlternateDecal=Egypt_OLD58 (In here I don´t know how to implement its respective roundel) I tried this and this is the result when I choose the new created "Royal Egyptian Air Force" it appear as the Iraqi Air Force.
