This has probly been covered somewhere.

 

But I am unable to find it.

 

Since the Jan2011 install that featured the flight editor I've noticed the the lighting in the cockpits is now very dark.

 

 

Has anyone come up with a work- around?

I have yet to acquire the second expansion pack but have always felt the cockpit lighting was a little low in the SF2 series.:-(

Try these setting in the Cocpit.ini of the aircraft you are getting the least lighting with & see if it makes any difference.

 

I use these setting or similar in all my stock cockpits.

You're not going to like the workaround.....upgrade to Windows 7 and get a DX10 compatible video card. It seems that ThirdWire has optimized the sim for DX10 shaders, even to the point that TK has announced that eveything he releases from now on will be DX10 only.

I'm running the 32 bit version of Windows 7.

 

And my vidio card is, supposed to be Direct X 10.

Then you should be OK, as long as you're running in DX10 mode. With every patch, TK seems to have made the series more and more shader-dependant.
