R.I.P. Poly

When I was in high school there was some expose on the "dangerous" Punk Movement. This was in 1977-78, that was the first time I heard of X-Ray Specs, at the time I started wishing my girlfriend could be like Poly Styrene.

Sadly Poly Styrene lost her battle with cancer yesterday.

To be honest, i really couldn't stand her vocals but one has to admit that the band were pretty original for the early wave of punk.

Very first song of theirs I heard as a kid was Oh Bondage, Up Yours. Still blows me away. Poly Styrene will be missed.
